Promoting Engineering as a Professional Career
ECUK has launched a campaign to encourage more engineers to seek registration as Incorporated Engineers or Chartered Engineers. A core element is a drive to inform students of the benefits of registration, but make them aware of what they need to do to achieve professional recognition. ECUK has developed new promotional materials and a website http://www.thenextstep.org.uk/ with links to information students (and new graduates) need in order to ensure they can register in due course. A toolkit is available for university and college staff who would like to adapt the materials for their own promotion of registration – and as part of marketing engineering programmes generally.
