Professor Ray Allen elected 2007 for a two year period

Vice-President

Professor Tony Unsworth will have served one year as immediate past president and will retire

The committee proposes Professor Barry Clarke to be President elect for a one year period from 2008 and then to take over the presidency for a two year period from 2009

Honorary Secretary

Professor David Harrison was elected in 2007 for a two year period

Treasurer

Mr Ian Whyte was elected for a two year period in 2007

Committee

Professor Helen Atkinson and

Professor Julian Gardner were elected for three years in 2005 and will retire

Professor Barry Clarke was elected for three years in 2006, however if elected as President Elect he will relinquish his position as an ordinary committee member.

Professor W Milne

Professor G Rogers

Professor A Sambell and

Professor S Tennakoon

Were elected in 2007 and have two further years to serve on the committee, Professor Rogers resigned from the committee on his appointment as PVC at NEWI.

Assuming that Professor Clarke becomes President Elect that would leave us with 4 committee positions to fill

At present we have two committee nominations

Professor Denise Bower and

Professor John Turner

We are therefore seeking two further nominations. We might consider if we wish to look for people from Northern Ireland and Wales to fill these.

As Professor Atkinson chairs one of our Working groups I am assuming that the committee will co-opt her back onto the committee.
